Back in Britain

So we're back having caught a slightly earlier crossing. We should arrive back at UTC around 3-4pm.

Big thanks to our drivers/entertainers Ron and Dave who've been with us across Europe.

Final Day!

Well after the awards night frivoloty and fun all our students more or less made it out onto the slope. Getting a cheeky extra 4/5 hours in and making the best of the amazing conditions. Black runs were conquered and Red runs ravaged. One student managed to be without her skis forcing Oliver (You'll be hearing that name a lot) to ski up a red run to retrieve the missing kit. No injuries and plenty of smiles ahead of the Le Mans start showers and the bus ride home.

Day 5 - Presentations

So all groups hit the mountain hard. All managing to top the mountain. Skiing went well and only Mr. Helliwell's knee took a battering. H in Y11 took on a tree and lost while trying to jump. The absolute beginners were amazed to have skied the top of the mountain and the advanced group managed top to bottom.

In the evening our instructors came to the hostel to hand out awards and prizes for most improved. A good time was had by all.

Day 4 - Round Up

So once again the students all made their way onto the slopes. All groups managing to ski the mountain runs in fresh falling powder. The snow conditions were perfect and a great time was had by all. The wipeout of the day again goes to Mr. Reynolds although no evidence is available (he gets up too quick).

8 brave souls indulged in the local baths tonight. Hitting the slides and waves with great gusto. Mr Helliwell took up supervisory role from the outdoor jacuzzi!

Day 3 - Round up

Once again all our students made some excellent progress today with 3 out of 4 groups getting onto the mountain. Mr. Reynolds managed many colossal falls but none were captured on camera!

Our expert group and CDM y13 managed to capture some pretty amazing footage which will make an appearance in the future. Today's photos:

Day 2 - Round up

All our students got back out and skiing today, some making good progress up the mountain and developing brilliant skiing skills.

This evening we went 'Austrian Bowling' in which the Y13 team (who's name cannot be mentioned) eventually won. High point of the evening was a failed attempt to fix a faulty lane using the phrase "My pen has stopped working" which was met with bemusement by the hotel staff. Special mention goes to Y13 M who managed to miss the lane completely and destroy the lighting for one lane! Great fun all round, Miss Hirst  laughed so hard she couldn't breathe:

Day 1 - Round up

I So after day 1 all our students are thoroughly worn out. Some have progressed a lot and some are trying their hardest to make the small steps to perfection. Everyone has enjoyed themselves all over the mountain. We did unfortunately have one injury but he's safe and his parents are aware, excellent provision from ski wise & Altenmarkt private medical centre made sure he was back at the hotel this afternoon.

Here's a few pictures of the day.
